‘Fit or Forfeit’ at The Royal Hotel
21st Jan 2010
As part of a ‘Get Fit for 2010’ initiative The Royal Hotel in Scarborough has teamed up with local radio station Yorkshire Coast Radio.
As part of the Wes at Breakfast show a week long feature ‘Fit or Forfeit’ has this week been running in conjunction with The Oasis Leisure Centre at The Royal Hotel.
During the Wes at Breakfast show, Wes gives the listener a choice of two envelopes A or B. In one envelope there is a free week or month membership for the Oasis Leisure Club and in the other it reads ‘forfeit.’ In today’s Breakfast Show it read ‘forfeit’ which meant that Wes was at The Royal Hotel this afternoon to do his forfeit.
The forfeit was to run on the treadmill in The Royal Hotel’s gym for 10 minutes. David Hull, the Royal Hotel’s General Manager and Craig Bridgewood The Royal Hotel’s Deputy General Manager were on hand to talk Wes through his treadmill session. Wes successfully completed his forfeit.
In the Breakfast Show tomorrow you will be able to hear more about Wes’ visit to The Royal Hotel and his experience of the Oasis Leisure Club.
So far this week three out of four listeners have won free week or month memberships to The Oasis Leisure Club with Wes only having to do one forfeit!
Tomorrow is the last day of the ‘Fit or Forfeit’ competition but don’t worry if you missed out on the chance of winning a trip to Oasis, the leisure club is open to hotel guests and non residents between the following hours:
